I just read somewhere “Don’t trust people who dislike Tacos. They are not human”.
Its like either they are hypocrites who eat tacos in secret or they have no soul. Ok that escalated quickly but we love tacos and found out so many awesome ways we can have them in our keto diet. I will share a few here.
Ingredients
For base
5 tortillas (5g) or shredded 2 cups cheese or 3 large eggs
For toppings
Left over shredded meat
1/2 chopped red onion
1 chopped tomatoes
1 Serrano pepper chopped
Lettuce (optional)
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup shredded cheese any kind
Sprigs of cilantro
Directions
1) For base you can find 5g tortillas at certain stores.
If you want to go completely carb free then make these cheese taco shells. Just bake 1/3 cup shredded cheese in circles at 375 F for 8 minutes. Cool them rest them on these taco holders. Cool completely.
Or you can also make the base using eggs. By simply using an omelette as your taco shell.
2) For the toppings I put ground meat or any kind of left over meat. Then I top it with red onion, tomatoes, avocado chunks, serrano pepper and sour cream.
3) Garnish with serrano pepper and serve. Happy Taco Tuesday!
