Snacks are one thing you have to give up when you begin any diet. However if you are keeping a sharp eye at your macros you can actually make space for a few of these wonderful keto-friendly snacking options. I keep at least two of these options available all the time to keep the cravings at bay.
Guacamole with cheese chips
I feel so blessed to have avocado in my life. Yes I love my family but avocado gives me strength, happiness and love. Ok, that was over the top but this has been my favorite snack. Eat avocado as is or make this awesome guacamole with just a few ingredients. You can have it with cheese chips if you like. For cheese chips put a parchment paper on a microwave save dish, divide a cheese slice in 4 and microwave it on high for 2 minutes! Yes it’s that simple.
Do you really want me to tell you how to boil eggs? Well to be honest, I did a search on google myself in the beginning for a perfect set of boiled eggs. You can use your instant pot to boil 24 eggs all together and keep them in the fridge for a week!
For those summer days when you are feeling pretty warm, this light and creamy snack provides the feeling of a cool breeze in a desert. Try it!
My husband and my daughter devour these usually in a day. My two year old daughter calls it very loud bread for some reason. Its so soft and light and simply melts in your mouth. It is just too good as a snack. I always keep it for picnics or for long drives.
I think avocado tastes well on it’s own but you can certainly try this recipe if you are craving chips. I wish I had taken more pictures but they didn’t last long!
Havarti cheese or any kind of cheese
We could not have been happier when we learned that cheese is allowed in keto! We have tried all kind of cheeses and the havarti cheese has been our favorite as a snack.
For now, this has been our snack list. It maybe small but its healthy and oh so yummy. I will keep updating this list once I find more. Meanwhile, if you have more ideas for us please let me know! Thanks!
